Since the kitchen makes purchases in small quanitites, the menu here is fresh and forever changing. Choose from six main courses, which mix entrees from the sea (pan-seared dayboat sea scallops over herbed jasmine rice) and from land (grilled center-cut veal rib chop over crispy porcini polenta). Bona Terra works hard to bring the best tastes of the good earth to its tables. Most of the organically grown ingredients come from local farms, and the restaurant has strong relationships with suppliers that include North Carolina's esteemed Haag & Son fishery. The dining space, divided into two areas, seats a relatively modest total of 42 (parties are limited to six people on weekends). Bona Terra is the place to go for a special meal that provides a new experience with every visit.
