Rate and Write a Review With its warm decor, kid-friendly vibe and varied menu, Bravo Cucina Italiana (a.k.a. Bravo!) makes a fun, low-key gathering place for friends and family -- even if you consider the wait for a table. Add to that exposed-brick arcades, distressed columns (like those you might have found at the Parthenon), an open bar topped with black granite, and a large wood-burning pizza oven, and it's no surprise this spot garners accolades from local media. The restaurant's proximity to the Mon River doesn't hurt, either. Bravo!'s ambience includes soft lighting, Italian music in the background, open spaces with casual white tablecloths and comfy black chairs. It sets the scene for classic dishes such as Mama's Lasagna Bolognese; chicken Milanaise pomodoro (crispy romano-breaded chicken with fresh mozzarella, herb-seasoned pasta and tomato sauce), and shrimp-and-lobster fra diavolo. Don't miss the specialita della casa (house specialty): Pasta Bravo!, wood-grilled chicken and mushrooms tossed with roasted-red-pepper cream sauce and served atop fresh penne. Desserts such as creme brulee, chocolate mousse cake and, of course, tiramisu will give you good reason to linger. The great service, on the other hand, will give you reason to return.
