Rate and Write a Review In the world of dark, smoky bars, there are two types: places for regulars and places for hoppers. Casey's is a brilliant combination of the two. Come during the afternoon and you'll find a homey neighborhood bar where the drinks are cheap, the talk is casual and the Confederate flag and raunchy bumper stickers on the walls beckon intermittent bikers and gritty South Side natives. Swing by during happy hour, and you'll find the high-energy fraternity-sorority crowd -- loud-talking, hard-drinking collegiates looking for hard-as-nails mixers and dressed for action. Both crowds mingle effortlessly over dirt-cheap drafts, bare-knuckle games of pool and, of course, Midget Madness (Saturdays and Mondays). Crowd is the operative word: Since it's smack-dab in the center of Carson Street, Casey's is an easy halfway house for that weekend migration known as the South Side Crawl.
