Ever had a sopapilla? Not sure? Check the glossary on the back of their menu (a fried flour tortilla with honey, butter and cinnamon), a resource that helps you navigate the many choices. You can stick to the burritos and enchiladas, but the glossary might tempt you toward a few new tastes. Some especialidades, for example, include chili Colorado (beef tips with red sauce); mole ranchero (spiced brown sauce with shredded chicken); and chiles poblanos (two poblano peppers stuffed with white Mexican cheese, topped with egg white and ranchero sauce). If you want a quick lunch that's more than just fast food, they offer 13 weekday lunch specials (including the Speedy Gonzales: a taco, an enchilada, and rice or refried beans) that will be ready within 10 minutes. At any time, enchilada and burrito platters serve up authentic Mexican food el rapido. Vegetable fajitas top a list of meatless choices. As in many Mexican restaurants, knickknacks give the mirrored dining room an international flavor. There are United States and Mexican flags, of course, and a couple of touches that stand out -- the money collage inside the door, with bills from throughout the Americas, and the cactuses that grace the salt and pepper shakers.

This is what Mexican food is suppose to taste like ! Moved here from Denver and wasn't used to what they called mexican here. But I've finally found what I've been missing. Give it a try. Good food and prices.

A must for me at least once a week. Chips and salsa are on the table as soon as you're seated. Great Chicken Burrito. The all male staff are friendly and efficient. About the only place for Mexican in the Pittsburgh area.
