It may seem counterintuitive, but It's Greek to Me makes perfect sense. After all, who doesn't enjoy a nicely presented taste of the Mediterranean? This tiny Brookline eatery dishes up savory stuff in a space bright with tasteful touches: whitewashed walls, rustic landscape paintings, candelabras and jars filled with vegetables and homemade salad dressings. Don't bother checking your watch before showing up; the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it remains open late for famished night owls. Begin your midday or evening meal with the mazza plate -- a sampling of Greek delicacies including tabouli, hummus, baba ghanoush and stuffed grape leaves. Then, feast on the gyro or shish kabob platter, which comes with marinated olives, feta cheese and warm pita. Other popular dishes include spinach pie and souvlaki. Want wine with that? Bring your own bottle for a pitch-perfect match to your meal, then punctuate your feast with a piece of rich baklava, made from walnut or pistachio. If you prefer the comfort of your own home, there's hope: It's Greek to Me delivers free to addresses in the neighborhood. The only thing this spot won't do, it seems, is book you a flight to Athens.

Will try it again . . . By jesesquire

Having moved to Pgh from the D.C. area, with loads of good Greek restaurants, I have longed for something similar in this area. I dream of a good moussaka. When I caught the opening of this cute little holeinthewall on Brookline Blvd, I took heart and stopped in at lunchtime and tried the fare. Alas, it was only fair fare, and I have not gone back. Hate to see it languishing with only one review and a bad one at that, so I will try it again. It has been a few years since I was there, and it's still in business, so maybe . . . . Will return with a current appraisal. jes

Worst Greek food I have ever eaten. The place was dim, dirty and not at all appetizing.
