Whether you're heading to a night at the clubs or meeting an old friend for an afternoon drink, Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle is among the most hospitable watering holes in the city. The decor, drinks and attitude authentically mirror the Irish pubs that inspired it, creating a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere with flashes of Blarney Stone pride (Gaellic street signs and antique photographs of early Irish immigrants are just a few of the scores of artifacts that adorn the textured wooden walls). The drinks menu includes local and international bottles and drafts, so sidle up to the bar with a Guinness and a canon of neighborhood stories. Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle boasts a large dining room and impressively broad lunch and dinner menus (oysters, trout, Irish lamb stew and shepherd's pie are popular). The pub also hosts live acoustic musicians and dances. A longtime fixture of the Strip, Mullaney's make a mature first stop in your tour of the city's nightlife.

Best in the 'burgh!

The Harp & Fiddle is by far my favorite place in Pittsburgh! For entertainment, brew (esp. Guinness), and good craic there's not another that comes close. And if it's a good meal you want, they've got that as well!

Always fun on St. Patty's Day
By tippygalore on 03/16/2006
This place is ALWAYS fun on St. Patty's Day!! I go every year. And to the person who said it isn't for families.... well, it's a bar on St. Patty's Day so no, it's really NOT appropriate for most families but that shouldn't be surprising. They charge a cover because they are providing entertainment on two stages ALL DAY.

Not a place to take the family. Cover charge in the middle of the day! When town is loaded with families at the parade. Big disappointment.
