Since Peter's Pub is adjacent to the University of Pittsburgh campus, it's no surprise this spot is a favorite of students and alumni (as well as local businesspeople). The inviting oak interior is divided into a bar area, with high-back stools and tables lining the walls, and a dining area, which is filled with a lively crowd noshing on pizzas and other tasty grub. Separating the two are stairs that lead to the second-level bar and dance floor. On any given evening, you can spot Panther athletes past and present enjoying the inexpensive menu and rock-bottom drink specials (no one is above a good bargain, after all). Weekend nights are especially packed with partying coeds, since Peter's keeps them safely within stumbling distance of campus housing.
