What's blooming where Rosebud once grew in the Strip District? It's a secret (that's what Prive means in French) that'll soon get out. Make your moves on the two wood dance floors to Top 40 and '80s favorites on Wednesdays; old school, house and funk during Friday happy hours, with '90s dance classics as the evening heats up, and dance, Top 40 and house on Saturdays. Electronic music plays on the last Sunday of each month. All that's backed up by colored beams of light pulsing through the room. Hungry? Tapas include blackened chicken firecracker rolls and teriyaki beef sate with spicy peanut sauce. You can choose from contemporary martinis like the Pineapple Upside Down Cake or have your favorite shaken just for you. Chill out with a frozen platinum margarita, or boost your energy with a melon Red Bull Bacardi. For a taste of luxury, try VIP bottle service in the lounge or even private beds.

pathetic prive

The pretty people are here only to complain about the djs and the constant mixing of journey, acdc, def leperd etc... worst music in pittsburgh and will fall apart when spring comes around. Went way down before then the boardwalk closed so they benifited but it will not last. Sad because it could easily be the hottest club in Pittsburgh if they just changed the music. Not that hard but when they realize it it will be tooooo late. I already started going other places on Friday and on Sat. sometimes I go and sometimes I dont. It will be crowded but your fun will be limited by lame music.

The "poorman's" PRIVE
By chowhoundpgh on 12/28/2006
This is what happens when bad people try their luck at COPYING a great club concept. Some design elements are great, and work well for the space, however in general it resembles a giant eatery, and ironicaly the food is sub-par. (Frozen wontons don't count as "tapas") If by "contemporary" martini you mean anything with XO and Puckers then yes, the editor is correct, but come on the drink list is exhaustive is it really necessary to have 20 chocoltate & cream based drinks? The music is not worth discussing as it is a throwback to bad midwest techno and the management doesn't want to hear anything about it because they themselves are "professional djs". Check it out soon, because if I were PRIVE Miami, I'd force them to shut their doors out of shear embarassment.
