Every year, football fans flock to Latrobe's Saint Vincent College for one reason: Steelers training camp. Not only can you catch your favorite players gearing up for the new season (and get your first glimpse of the new draft picks), you could even snag an autograph or two. If you're really lucky, you might find a few players enjoying drinks after practice in one of the best sports bars in Westmoreland County: Sharky's Cafe. Sharky's, at nearly 10,000 square feet, holds 325 people and boasts 28 TVs (four of them huge), seven pool tables, electronic darts and a room full of video games. With its horseshoe-shaped bar, tables galore, beautiful decor and excellent menu to boot, Sharky's is definitely the place to be for year-round sports action -- on TV and in person.

I absolutely love Sharky's. Everytime I go there I always have a great time, the food is great, the drinks are great, and the employees are the nicest around. You can't ask for a better place to be.

Outstanding!!

I don't live in the Latrobe area anymore, but every time I'm back I HAVE to go to Sharky's for at least one meal - the food is amazing. The wings are plump and juicy with the best sauces I've had anywhere - but it's the salads that keep me coming back. The buffalo chicken salad combines fries, salad stuff, and that fabulous wing sauce all in one bowl - heaven! My service has always been friendly, there's free popcorn, the pool tables are always a good time, the beer is cold - what more could you want?!

By far the best place in the area. Great food, server's are excellent. You can enjoy a peaceful dinner in the dining room or enjoy the bar side. Excellent atmosphere. Great place to go have a beer.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

WE RECENTLY WENT TO SHARKEY'S CAFE THIS PAST TUESDAY(3/23/04)FOR DINNER. THERE WERE 4 OF US AND WE ALL ORDERED STEAK SALADS(3) AND 1 CHICKEN SALAD. WE ASKED THE WAITRESS IF WE COULD HAVE THE OTHER TYPE OF FRIES ON OUR SALAD INSTEAD OF THE KIND THAT COMES WITH IT. (AT THIS TIME, I CAN NOT REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE FRIES WE WANTED,WE CALL THEM BOARDWALK FRIES..MAYBE THIS IS WHAT THEY'RE CALLED..NOT SURE) ANYWAYS, THE WAITRESS SAID THAT WOULD BE NO PROBLEM.. OUR SALADS CAME AND THEY WERE VERY GOOD!! WE ASKED FOR X-TRA DRESSING BECAUSE THE AMOUNT THEY GIVE JUST ISN'T ENOUGH FOR THE SIZE OF THE SALADS...WE GOT 2 X-TRA RANCH....WE THEN GOT OUR BILL....WE WERE CHARGED .75 CENTS X-TRA FOR EACH FRIES,($3.00) AND .50 CENTS X-TRA FOR EACH DRESSING (TOTAL OF $4.00). WE WERE VERY UPSET WITH THIS!! THE WAITRESS SHOULD HAVE TOLD US THAT THERE WAS A CHARGE FOR THE "DIFFERENT" FRIES IN OUR SALADS AND THE DRESSINGS.. WE BROUGHT IT TO HER ATTENTION TOLD HER SHE SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THESE E-TRA COSTS, AND HER RESPONSE WAS ...QUOTE...DO YOU WANT ME TO PAY FOR IT!!! THAT JUST ABOUT FLOORED US. OF COURSE WE SAID NO, BUT DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC, YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME KIND OF PROFESSIONALISM, AND BELIEVE ME, THIS WAITRESS LACKED ALL!! I'T A SHAME HOW EMPLOYEES CAN GIVE BAD REPUTATIONS TO BUSINESS, WHICH ARE NORMALLY VERY GOOD. I GUESS IT JUST TAKES ONE BAD EXPERIENCE TO CHANGE CUSTOMERS MINDS ON WHERE TO GO AND EAT THESE DAYS!!!
