Rate and Write a Review Square Cafe borrows its name from its neighborhood, Regents Square, a posh little shopping district just outside city limits. This adorable breakfast spot takes that name to heart, using the right-angle geometry of the walls, tables and plates to emphasize its, er, squaredom. Square Cafe is bright and vibrant, always packed with thirtysomethings and their young families. (Baby strollers often are parked between the Formica-topped tables.) Serving up delectable breakfasts of buttermilk pancakes and eggs Benedict, as well as weekend dinners of wonton soup, fried zucchini and grilled chicken marinated in rosemary, Square Cafe offers top-notch, if occasionally pricey, dining. The BYOB policy makes for a nice addition to dinner, and the bread pudding, soaked in vanilla sauce and Jack Daniel's, is unparalleled.
