Friendly, funky and great food
By kek33 on 01/21/2007
This is one of the best "cheap eats" places in Pittsburgh. Although I've been to many Asian restuarants around town, for the money I'd give it an very good rating if you are a fan of this style of food. The service was very friendly and the owners are very hardworking people. The curry I ordered was delicious and the warm sweet ginger and honey tea that was suggested was a nice foil to the hot spices of the curry.

Amazing Experience

This is hands down one of the best resturants on the Southside. I absolutely love it. And the best part is the interaction with the owner, he is very helpful in explaining the cuisine and how to eat it. I mean it is inexpensive, and delicous, but it's not the quickest resturant, but what can you expect if you want fresh, and Its fresh and tasty. And the signature "moon" sauce is fabulous.

Just as good as you remember.

I don't know about you but I spent countless hours waiting in line for this stuff. Even after a night of drinking it still took will and determination to stand there in the January cold and snow, waiting patiently for a chicken kabob on pita with extra moon. On a recent visit to Pittsburgh from my new home in Boston, my friends had recently discovered the return of "Troy" (The black leather cowboy hat reminds a drunk person of Troy Aikman). We visited Troy and were treated to the wonderfully climate controlled restaurant. We went to the counter placed our orders and took a seat. What appeared 10 minutes later was a blast from the past served on a silver platter. Wonton's smothered in moon sauce and the famous chicken with extra moon carefully delivered on a fresh whole wheat pita. For the first time ever, I left without getting moon sauce all over my shirt. Welcome back Troy!
