Rate and Write a Review Of all the diners in Pittsburgh, Ritter's seems to boast the largest following. Though this spot buzzes with patrons in the early evening, the queue of hungry customers often spills out the door and onto the sidewalk at 1:45AM. When clubgoers need to refuel after a night of gallivanting, they dig in at Ritter's. The waitresses, many of whom are hardenend veterans of the business, won't take any guff from tipsy or belligerent patrons. Treat them with courtesy, however, and you'll never see the bottom of your coffee cup. Though lunch and dinner options are vast, most people crowd in for the breakfast offerings, which are served around the clock. In addition to the basics, Ritter's cooks up a few interesting variations, including a feta cheese omelet. Desserts are a draw, as well -- the banana-cream pie is especially popular. Designed in the late '70s, the decor at Ritter's is exactly what you'd expect: In the main space are a long counter, a row of stools and small booths with connections to a jukebox. Why deviate from a foolproof formula?
