I went to the grand cafe the other night and Ill never go back. Me and my girlfriend went. It was ok for a little while then this old guy came up and said he was the manager and wanted to know would I work there. I told him no I aleardy worked somewherte else. Then he started hitting on me trying to get me to come down in his office with him. We made an excuse to make him go a way for a while. Then we got up and left as quick as we could. He must have been 65 years old and looked like some kind of prison con or mental patient or something. He was REALLY CREEPY. We wont EVER go back to that place. EWWWWWWWW. YUCK! Dont go to this place unless you want to get hit on by a really creepy old guy!

We went to the Grand the a couple weeks ago and it was pretty fun for awhile. But then this older guy came out of the kitchen and started SCREAMING at the DJ that the sound was TOO F---in LOUD. He then screamed at the waitress too and she was almost in tears. The Dj afterwards said the guy was the owner. Her must have been alomost 60 and looked like he belonged in a mental ward. We didnt stay long after taht. The DJ said this guy is like that all the time. We wont be back there again. Theres lots of other places to go where we dont have to watch THAT kind of thing. He even got into it with a customer in front of everyone in the bar. What a JERK! Dont go to this place!

Went to the Grand Cafe the other night. What an unplesant experience. They had the MOST IRRITATING DJ Ive ever experienced! This guy wouldnt SHUT UP and just let the singers sing. He was constantly taking over the stage and interrupting the singers. Plus they charge a DOLLAR A SONG there. And there was a $3 cover charge just to get in the door??!!--for karaoke?? The drinks were VERY EXPENSIVE also. And for some reason they never played the music very loud either. And the mic screeched frequently like they didnt know how to set the levels. The song books were a wreck too-missing pages dirty and worn out. All together a VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPEREINCE! There are LOTS of other karaoke places out there that are MUCH BETTER!! I go to several others that are free and have way better sound systems and much less expensive drinks. The waitress and bartenders were adequate, not rude but not real helpful either. Save you money and go somewhere else--youll be mcuh better off.

Excellent sound and video system. Good song selection. Have always found waitresses and bartenders to be pleasant, attractive and helpful. Drink prices are comparable to other downtown area bars. Have always had a good time at the Grand. DEFINANTLY NOT A RUNDOWN DIVE like so many other karaoke joints. Much more like a NIGTHCLUB atmosphere.
Waits for songs can be lengthly when have a big crowd(on weekends) other times waits are VERY REASONABLE. I've always enjoyed going there and will continue to.
