Years ago, when the sea-going boys got a bit of leave they usually came ashore and headed straight to Mary's. The fact that it was the first topless bar in Oregon (or nearby Washington and Idaho, for that matter) probably had something to do with it. Mary's Club is still owned by Roy Keller, the man who started it all. Now the club is home to an all-nude review managed with zest by Keller's daughter. Today Mary's is part Portland history, part good live entertainment and a place actually bordering on respectability. Twenty-five dancers work the stage while nearly three dozen beers flow from the bar. A Mexican- inspired menu, good wine selection and a pool table round out the offerings. -- Joe Kurmaskie

Marys Club sucks.
If you want to see the ugliest dancers in the world then go there. Its a run down crap hole. I would not recomend going there. Some beat ass bitches there.

Mary's is a GREAT place! Some of those previous reviews are bogus! I have never had problems with drugs or prostitutes anywhere near this club. Of course those people exist in the downtown area, but I think if you keep to yourself you're pretty safe. I know they, along with the police, have managed to divert that activity away from the outside of the club, and as for the inside, they run a tight shift and a straight place. The all female staff is the best in town and NO, the owner/supervisor was never a dancer. It's also a popular place amongst many famous people and just ordinary business men. Mary's is a friendly place to go to escape the glitz of other clubs. The dancers are friendly, especially Lara. It is in a dangerous part of town, so be on guard. But overall, a must-see.
