Big Daddy's BBQ   

Heading down Hawthorne, you can't miss this place with its searing flames arching across its windows. Located in a former '60s-era drive-in, the hot theme continues inside with black oil cloth table linens, red hot stools at the counter and menu that makes the place look, taste and feel like Yam Yam's southeast with out the attitude. The atmosphere is upbeat and the staff attentive. This is a fun place to go with friends when you're looking for out-sized portions of serious artery-clogging southern cuisine. Think lean, tender and smoky pulled pork, beef brisket and baby back ribs, southern sides and house-crafted sauces in heat ratings from mild to hot. Less than standard appetizers and sides include hush puppies, jalapeno poppers, deep-fried pickles, deviled eggs, fried okra and spicy peanut cole slaw.
