This homegrown original is a fast-food standout. The ambience is no better than at any other drive-through, though the sign tower at the MLK location soars like a monument and the Powell location has a retro '50s drive-in look. If you can get it at Mickey D's, you'll find it at Burgerville -- burgers, fries and cokes -- but the Big B's quality is unparalleled. Burgers here are made with fresh, lean Northwest ground chuck: premium beef locally raised and ground. Local giant Steinfield's grows and packs the pickles, and Franz Bakery bakes the bread buns. Cheeseburgers get a slice of Tillamook, and the menu features seasonal treats like sweet potato fries, fish and chips with north Pacific halibut, and Walla Walla onion rings following the Washington harvest. Burgerville also serves turkey burgers and turkey clubs, and was one of the first fast-food restaurants to offer Gardenburgers.
