Another intriguing and colorful restaurant from the family that gave us Hodas, Nicholas and Ya Hala, this one is a unique as the others. Seating is cozy except when the weather cooperates and front and back patios pick up the overflow (and hookah smokers). Or venture upstairs for floor seating on pillows under a gauzy tent. The extensive menu features a selection of traditional home-cooked Lebanese and Syrian dishes, some of which are decidedly vegan and others for meat-lovers only. Appetizers and entrees include standard items like tabbouleh, baba ganoush, falafel and kabobs, but try the riz lubya (a stew of green beans and lamb served on a rice pilaf) or freekah (shredded chicken, pine nuts and almonds served over rice) for a real authentic taste. Desserts include Lebanese specialties, like rice pudding and namoura, a semolina cake soaked in rose water.

Wonderful! Food here is served the way it is in Lebanon. Everybody eats and tastes some of the great selections that quickly arrive land on the long family table on the first floor. We've had a bash on the patio that included really good music, a belly dancer and some of our pals trying out hookah. Not everybody smoked but the exotic smell of the flavors was really yummy. We all took home leftovers because even though we are big eaters we still could not pack away all the food that comes in generous portions. Next time we want to try the private party room - maybe get our own belly dancer. Seems cool to have a little hideaway like that. Also they take credit cards now and they have wine and beer. When we had our party there was no booze but we had a fun time anyway. Nice to get the good food like at Nicholas without the long wait.
