My best memories of the "UG" were dancing to DJ TIm Staney back in the 90's. He was able to pull a night together like no other DJ the UG has ever seen. I remember following Tim to a Chris Clark rave after-hours, or the times he would play after-hours at Zootz. Those were some of the best club nights I have ever enjoyed in my life - despite Portland's small-city scene. Where is Tim Staney now? I know he moved from Portland to a DJ career in PTown, but have lost track of him since. It wasn't until the UG went Lesbian slow-song that it failed to be my favorite place to party.  More Reviews

I loved the atmosphere---the old wood, open windows directly on the waterfront and the view of the cruiseship ! I especially loved one drink that I can't remember the name of--a combination of cider and wine???? Haven't seen it anywhere else !  More Reviews
