Vincent's is a dance club for the loafers-wearing big bucks crowd. It's a huge, 1,000-person venue where you've got to be aat least 21 and dress to impress if you want to party with the best. A normal night at Vincent's is a DJ'd affair although live bands will show up from time to time. But no matter the source of the tunes, you can be sure they'll stick to the theme of the night. Friday is Latin Dance Party night, on Saturdays the joint goes discotheque, and on Sundays there's a decidedly Caribbean feel to the partying. The hedonism's kickoff actually takes place on Thursday night with the singles party, where you'll be treated to a variety of dance steps and dubious pick-up lines.As for the place itself -- well, it's huge. You may quickly lose anyone you show up with, but six bars with 10 beers on tap guarantee that your social interactions with others will be nicely lubricated. There are disco balls and mirrors and, in the words of the management, "a light show to knock your socks off." The dressing to impress bit isn't merely a suggestion, for there is a dress code: No jeans, T-shirts, or sneakers are allowed. Sports coats are recommended. Vincent's caters to a wealthy crowd. It's a place where the dress code and drink prices legitimize those hopeless adult cases -- no underdressed young guns are going to steal their fire here. But it's a good time. If you can moonwalk in loafers or just want to disco with the goodfellas, come on down.
