I went there expecting a romantic dinner and got a loud atmosphere. The food was okay..my dessert was good and the pizza was just as good as Grappa's (which is less expensive) It was overpriced and it was a treat but I'll stick with some of the other Providence eateries.

Overated! Dined twice. The first time I had am Italian pastoral sausage dish and asked specifically if the sausage was hot or mild. I was assured that it was "mild". It was not! I could not eat it because it was too highly seasoned. Waitress was coldly pleasant and the item was removed from the final bill. I ended up eating half of my wife's meal because of the slow response to my disatisfaction with the meal. The second time I visited I ordered the grilled pork chops which came out cold and undercooked. The accompaning mash potato and turnip combination was luke warm. Again, I ended up helping my wife consume her meal.. The "wine by glass" selection is very limited.

It is without a doubt a deal, yet Angelo's on Federal Hill is what I define as a 5 Star joint
