valentines day
My husband and I went there 2-14-2003 food was great we arrive 15 minuteds before our reservation for 8pm our table was ready, The waitor was john and he was the best every. we will never forget that night and we often go out. highly recommend going there for romance for 2 will attend again for our 20 year this year and many more. this is the resurante for ramance
Nice atmosphere
I went to Hemenways with a friend of mine as a first date if you want to call it that. The food was excellent. The service was nice and the prices were not too expensive. I would definately go there again. And I would recommend it to anyone who loves seafood.
Last visit to Hemingways I got sick
I wound up with an IV at the local hospital. The restaurant seemed appealing but three hours later, oh boy!

I dined at Hemenways three years ago and my scallops with sherried bread crumbs was wonderful. This restaurant is much better than the Union Oyster House in Boston. I can't compare it to another venerable Boston establishment, the Daily Catch, as I've been to each place once.
