In ShortLike its counterpart on Raleigh's Glenwood South, the Hibernian in Cary is a proper Irish outpost of good cheer. The over-the-top decor quickly grows on you as you get comfortable. As with the Raleigh pub, it's a predominately young professional crowd. The Hibernian does an excellent job of creating lots of cool little spaces to sit with someone in particular or a group of friends. If the weather is right, try the comfortable outdoor seating.

This place is really cool. The bartenders really hustle and the staff is helpful and friendly. The food is much better than you'd think a bar would have. Try the fish and chips!

Went for the first time last week. Great place, great food, wonderful staff. A gem for Raleigh where everything is overpriced and alacarte. I'll be back and soon.
