In ShortStep into the cavernous main room and you'll understand why this is one of the most festive nightspots in Raleigh. Large and usually full of people enjoying drinks and live entertainment, this pub has a laid-back atmosphere that lives up to its name. In addition, there's a late-night menu that offers appetizers such as fish-and-chips, nachos and tempting desserts that include Guinness-flavored cheesecake.

Tir Na Nog a real Irish Pub
By roxannenice on 01/10/2006
A warm welcome. Great food and an extensive beer and whiskey selection. The new and much improved menu has a great selection of Irish American and European dishes. Live music every weekend includes Local Irish Musicians for the dinner hour. so a great place to take the family who enjoys the culture. The Irish singles Night will bring Tir Na Nog to the top the local hot spots.

An experience not to be missed
By petepagano on 11/13/2005
I have been to quite a few Irish pubs in my time but this one is hands down the best! One of the two owners is an Irish chef and makes a Beef Wellington that is absolutely out of this world! The staff are great and the atmosphere is very unique. I am a whiskey lover and this place has one of the largest selections in town!

New Owners & Staff Welcome
By aine777 on 06/23/2005
Recently I went back to Tir na Nog to check out this report of "under new management." And was happy to see the rumor is true. There is indeed new staff at one of Raleighs best looking bars. I had the fish and chips and Aidan the new chief direct from Ireland, done a great job. for example they were not in the least bit greasy. So I'll go back for more of that. The lads themselves are warm and welcoming, and have promised to do all in thier power to bring back more irish music, and lots of fun filled events, that we all know "The Irish do best" to the City Center. So I'll have to award them 5 stars. and bid them Cead Mile failte. Annie Nice

Many choices on the buffet. Attentive wait staff. the smoked salmon was perfect. The muffins were slightly burnt, and the danish were of the frozen variety.Overall it was a good experience with resonable prices.
