For those of us who like a juicy burger and to sit down at a table (alone) with our family, this place is the pits. You cannot have a burger cooked to order, meaning they come out well done every time. One or two picnic tables means you have to eat your food in the car, or cold once you get home. Plus, no beer!!! No, for my money, there are much better burger places in town. The City Search editors do the poll an injustice by not allowing nominations from the readers. For a much better burger around the Triangle, try Sharky's Place (Raleigh), Village Draft House (Raleigh), and Carolina Ale House (all over).

My first visit to the Char Grill came in 1972 as an NC State student. First time anyone younder than me called me "sir." But the burgers are always great and the outdoor eating shows how committed and how good the burgers are. The 1/2 burger combo is a meal for the day. Check it out.

Char-Grill has the best, yummiest, juicy burgers that make your mouth water. Its even better when you order fries, milkshake, and appleturnover too!

Been eatin' Char Grill all my life and hope to live a lot longer so I can keep doing so. Great food and great service! Ryan and the boys do a great job.
