Blinco's   

After closing their Quail Corners location early in 2005, Blincos patrons were at a loss for a neighborhood bar where they could watch the local game. Early in 2006 the owners not only reopened the bar in a new location, but made it both bigger and better for sports fans. At a little more than 9,000 square feet, Blincos new location is more than twice the size of the original and comes complete with a four-sided bar seating about 30 and more than 30 TVs that play even the hardest-to-find games thanks to numerous satellite feeds, Direct TV and cable. Standard pub fare makes up most of the menu, which means things like wings, quesadillas, soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers. But there are also some standout items that are great for late-night grubbing (they serve until 2AM) like the Garbage Plate (a five-ounce cheeseburger or two New York dogs served over home fries, baked beans and macaroni salad and then topped with hot sauce). They also sport a wildly popular Friday night beer-battered haddock and prime rib special that packs the house. At the bar, look for beers on tap like Guinness, Yuengling and Newcastle, in addition to a couple from Holly Springs-based Carolina Brewing Company.
