When Hi5 first opened its doors, it was primarily known as a sports bar along Raleigh's popular Glenwood Avenue strip. After revamping itself in the spring of 2005, Hi5 now houses the area's only Vegas-style gaming room with tournaments on Sunday and Monday nights, with more to be added in the future. Another significant change is the menu, which now mainly comprises tapas like tuna tacos, crab cakes and HI5's signature Asian wings, while also dishing up heavier fare like Kobe beef burgers, which are some of the best around (and you can get them for just $4 on Wednesdays). Look for other specials like all-you-can-eat wings and ladies' night (women get half-off all food and martinis). The bar here is second to none, with more than 200 beers and a specialty drink menu made with house-infused vodkas, bourbons, gins, rums and tequilas. Add the fact that they've got a video jukebox with more than 7,000 songs and more than 40 TVs with flat screens at every table, and you've got yourself one popular bar.
