Ruth's Chris brings to mind one thing and one thing only: steak, whether you're after a thick center filet or a whopping porterhouse. But it's not just the steak that sets this place apart; it's the atmosphere, too. Quite upscale with white linens, dark woods and candles, you're nonetheless encouraged to speak above a whisper. Whet your palate with the jumbo lump crab cakes, lobster bisque or the Ruth's Chop Salad, which has a little bit of everything. Serious meat eaters will, of course, want one of their seven cuts of steak, but the lobster, ahi tuna and lamb chops won't leave you hungry either. Sides, big enough to share, include potatoes done every way from mashed and baked to au gratin and shoestring, sauteed mushrooms, broiled tomatoes and creamed spinach. Round out the meal with a glass of wine; consult with the in-house sommelier if you're looking for advice. -- Erica Hinton

We had dinner there last night and as usual, it was delicious! The lobster was perfect; the oysters rockefeller are so yummy. We were too full to eat dessert there, so we got cream brulee and cheesecake to bring home. It's our favorite steakhouse! The service is the best and the bar is the best place to go after a Cane's hockey game for late night dinner or a drink and snack.

We would like to thank manager,Ray Brown, and our server, Matt, for a wonderful celebration evening of our grandaughter's high school graduation. Sunday, June 8, our grandaughter was treated so special that it made the whole evening an very meaningful event.

Clam Bake is Divine
By lpl139 on 06/20/2007
Lovely, fresh seafood in a relaxed atmosphere. The NE Clam Bake is to die for, the Lobster is succlent and straight from coastal Maine. I have not had better oysters on the half shell since going to New Jersey...Big, fat, and ice cold Rhode Island oysters to hit the spot. To Pellegrino: It may not be in Philly, but it is in the region and it's EXCELLENT. All they do is seafood and they stick with what they know.
