I am a burger fanatic. I used to eat at Chargrill when i was a student at NC State. I moved away for about 8 years. I used to visit Raleigh 6 or 7 times a year just so I Could go to Chargrill. Like another reviewer I wish you could tell them to do the burger like you like it but that is a whole seperate issue. I guess no restraunt can do it the way you want it unless they actually grind the beef from certified beef on site. Net/net my love afair with chargrill continues till this day. May have had one or two bad ones but it is consistently great.

If you like a heavy flame char-taste this is your place, I don't care for it myself, I mean I like my burgers off the back yard grill but this is way heavier flame taste. Try their hot dogs a better choice to me.

Cook-out is good, but Char-Grill on Hillsborough Street seems like a little piece of Raleigh history. Being a Raleigh native, I love the burgers, and always make a point to eat there often!
