Simply impossible. Mad Hatter's Bake Shop features a spectacular array of homemade baked goods that taste as good as they look. Remember, you can eat pastries at every meal -- a scone or muffin for breakfast, a cookie with your sandwich at lunch, a thin slice of cake after dinner. Of course, you can also enjoy pastries as your meal, but that's another story. If you're one of those people who like to eat savory food for your meals, Mad Hatter has got you covered. Choose from sandwiches like grilled veggie burger on a fresh-baked Kaiser roll or a classic French dip. Salads and entrees are also available, like Thai shrimp salad with snow peas and shiitake mushrooms, and chipotle chicken with Mexican rice and vegetables. Brunch offerings include eggs Benedict, challah French toast and Belgian waffles, all served with your choice of hash browns, fresh fruit salad, housemade sausage, apple smoked sausage or cheese grits. Don't leave without trying one of the yummy desserts, which change daily but may include pistachio brownies, white chocolate cheesecake, cream puffs or apple flan. Prices are low, with most of the menu less than $10. As for where the name came from, take a look around and you'll find painted mannequin heads sporting all sorts of hats, from bonnets to berets.
