Award-winning chef Michael Schwerdtfeger and his wife, Kristin, are the duo that makes dining here a treat. Just let him know that your palate is in his hands and with a days notice, Michael will design a feast especially for you. His award-winning Emerald Bay lamb is an outstanding dish of layered grilled eggplant, roasted red peppers and caramelized onions, topped with a pecan pesto over a tomato-basil vinaigrette. The meat dishes here often outshine the seafood offerings: worthy creations include house-made turkey-cranberry sausage, a consomm of pheasant, duck and turkey and a caramelized rib-eye with a trio of onions. Each entre is paired with a suggested wine from the restaurants impressive collection. A wide array of imported beers are available, too. This restaurant remains one of Tahoes best.
