For more than a decade, Cantina Los Tres Hombres has served mesquite Southwest-style Mexican food. Although you might not associate heart-healthy fare with Mexican cuisine, the restaurant offers several heart-healthy selections, including mesquite-broiled chicken in soft-shell tacos; a mesquite-broiled fresh fish of the day; seafood, chicken or pork burritos; and spicy shrimp. Besides the mesquite broiler specials, you can find homemade tamales, chile verde, calamari steak, crab enchiladas, seafood chingalingas and a number of burritos grandes and tostadas tremendos on the extensive menu. There's even a Gringo Burger -- a mesquite-broiled burger with fries or salad. The cantina serves imported and domestic beer, as well as wine by the bottle or glass. For dessert, there's deep-fried ice cream, Mexican coconut custard, and sopapillas served with honey and jam. On Fridays and Saturdays some of the area's best bands perform here.
