the balls

i cried once eating their fried artichoke sub--it's that amazing. Oh, it's not on the menu, but i'd also like to recommend their mushroom burger with BRIE cheese. if you live in Richmond, and have never eaten at 821, you should be ashamed.

One of my favorites
By excelsior866 on 05/25/2006
Breakfast rules at this place. The sandwiches and subs follow a close second. My personal favorites are the chicken salad, the chicken wings, steak sub, and chicken parmesan. Everyone who works here is polite and unpretentious. The prices are very reasonable. The only drawback is space. If this place had the space of overpriced Mojos down the street it would be the best restaurant in Richmond. Will

A Place to Remember

821 has the best food at the best prices. It offers something for everyone. I took my parents one night for dinner. We had a an informative waitress and an awesome meal. We ordered a delicious appetizer- raw salmon sliced thin with fresh dill cream cheese, capers and red onions on flatbread-for a ridiculous price of $6. My dad had herbed chicken and the portions were incredible. He was given THREE breasts of chicken over orzo with fresh vegetables. I had a "Philly Billy", which is a vegetarian cheese steak..awesome! My mom's meal was the best. She ordered the special-crepes filled with brie and spinach covered in a berry peach conserve. She got four crepes for $6!! The chardonnay went well with the meal. You can't beat 821's freindly service, relaxing atmoshphere, unbelievable food and inexpensive prices.
