There is no better steak in richmond but be prepared to part with some cash especially if you drink wine

Good potential but inconsistent
By krzy33 on 06/26/2003
Hondos is known for fabulous steaks and a romantic atmosphere. First visit lived up to expectations - great service, terrific food (stuffed veal chop out of this world!) and nice atmosphere. Next visit was disappointing. Sloppy service, incomplete orders, food was so-so...not what I expect for the high prices! We did not know it was prom night so we ended up crowded at a table surrounding by high school students - very loud, waiters were bumping into us and paid little attention as they scrambled to keep up with the kid's orders. I would recommend going on a weeknight when it's bound to be less crowded so you can hopefully get decent service. Inconsistent experience - not sure it's worth the $30+ entree prices.
