Staff curtious and helpful food great

My Mother's Day was ruined Sunday, May 8 around 5:00 pm. We sat down in the smoking section of Friday, and were awaiting the arrival of our son, who was traveling from a visit in the New River Valley on his way back to Norfolk Navy Base. Since we live in Lynchburg & had enjoyed Friday's here, we felt like it would be a good place to meet him 1/2 way. Our daughter also traveled to Roanoke to have dinner with us. We sat for over an hr. having appetizers and cocktails and our son was about 15-20 from there. When a rude employee (I think a hostess type) told my husband that he could not smoke his cigarillos (dard colored paper yet the same size as any standard cigarette) there, it was against policy. Since no one had said a word for an entire hr. we were completely offended. To let us spend $47 in drinks and appetizers then to be treated so rudely, was totally inappropriate. I would have understood if someone had said something at the beginning, but to wait for over an hour and we hadn't even ordered our dinner yet, was more than we could handle and we left, we paid our bill...but we shouldn't have. I highly recommend Applebee's who had no problem with our smoke or the $100 tab that we paid to them plus tip after we left Fridays. Someone owes the waitress 20% of a $147 tab, because that is what the poor girl lost. Frankly, she was really sweet and had nothing to do with the rudeness.

THEY HAVE VERY GOOD FOOD AND THE BAR TENDERS IN THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THEY R A RIOT. THEY CAN MAKE YOU LAUGH EVEN WHEN YOU DONT FEEL LIKE IT. THERE CHICKEN BREAST WITH THE CHEESE IS REALLY GOOD. THE BARTENDERS IN TGIF WORK REALLY HARD. THEY NEED A RAISE.I OF THE BARTENDERS NAMED BRAD DOES AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB.HES QUICK AND VERY FRIENDLY AND HE LISTENS TO HIS CUSTOMERS THATS WHAT MAKES THE PLACE PEOPLE LIKE HIM.WHO TAKE THE TIME TO MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR SOME ONE.
