Good food but too much of it! Could be a little less noisy and a little more intimate.

The food couldn't be any better, along with the service, the ambience, the friendly people who work there; there isn't a better place to go in Rochester, NY, than Mario's Via Abruzzi!!!!!

And I eat a lot of steaks all over the country

Hostess did not have menus, which caused some initial awkwardness. Wait staff is energetic but undisciplined. In the lobby you could hear servers for a banquet being held in a banquet room complaining to the bartender (who incidently was ignoring her customers to listen). The food, however, more than made up for those shortcomings. Expertly prepared and presented, a "big city" dining experience in a smaller town. The chef obviously knows his or her way around the kitchen.
