The SceneThe decorating scheme of this homely and homey burger pit is "turn-of-the-century garage." Frying pans and fishing trophies bear down from the ceiling, and gag signs about roadkill greet you from all directions. The Squeeze Inn is cramped, slightly dilapidated and hard to spot from the street, but that hasn't stopped it from acquiring a crowd of curmudgeonly regulars. The guff from the cooks and serving staff, meanwhile, comes in all forms of old-school sassy. The FoodIt's not just the retro charm that keeps regulars coming back--the Squeezeburgers are bigger than your fist and must weigh at least a pound, while the fries come in enormous, greasy-yet-crisp mounds. The steak sandwich looks suspiciously burger-like, but with grilled onions, handfuls of cheese and juicy beef patties, who can complain?

Love It

Love it - Love it - Love it Best place in town - you don't have to worry about what you are wearing - even go without makeup on. The best place. Service is great and who cares if you have a little grease - its good for the soul. Uppity people stay away they don't need you and your snobby remarks....

The best of Sacramento

By far the best burger in Sacramento. The place is small..thus "The Squeeze Inn!" It's charming, I wouldn't change a thing!!!!

An average burger lover

The best hamburgers I have ever had. Not just in Sacramento, but anywhere, bar none! To call the place a dive is gilding the lilly. The joint could be torn down in order to build a slum!! It's not any too clean either. I doubt that you'll be seeing an approval sign from the Health Department in their window any time soon. But if it's burgers you want....dats da place. Another feature that delights me is, if you ask them to make the fries crisp, the fries are actually prepared crisp. The one draw-back is the lack of space. If you want to eat in, you must arrange to arrive early to claim one of, perhaps, ten stools at the counter, or there is an old picnic table out back that provides cover from neither the sun nor the rain and is immediatly adjaacent the dusty parking lot. The place is a hoot. Ya gotta try it! You won't be sorry.

Squeeze Inn, Squeeze Out
By powodzenia on 03/02/2007
It's impossible not to enjoy a burger at Sacramento's Squeeze Inn located at the east end of Fruitridge Blvd. Everything about their food tastes fresh, especially their meat. Their patties are enormous and the cheese that has been melted on top, and particularly on the sides, of the burger is delectable. Overall, their portions are huge and deeply flavorful. Run, don't walk, to taste the best burger in Sacramento. When you get the bill, you will also be pleasantly surprised. Of course, the volume of food you eat will be so vast that it will take the jaws of life to extricate yourself from this tiny venue. No bigger than is necessary to hold a large counter and cooking area, this place has charm and history galore. Have a great time! I always do.
