The Market Street Grill Downtown is the unanimous favorite of locals and visitors from around the world. Reminiscent of the grills of the 1930s with a long counter, bead board, and tile floors, we have been impressing customers since 1980 in the historic 1906 New York Hotel. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, the menu offers something for everyone. A variety of fresh seafood flown in daily from around the world, tender steaks, prime rib, pastas, sandwiches, crispy salads, and delectable fresh baked desserts. The Market Street Grill serves only the highest quality ingredients available. Zagat has rated The Market Street Grill Downtown as SLC's #1 most popular restaurant. The Grill is consistently voted "best seafood," "best desserts" and "best breakfast" and is the recipient of the Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence." Located in the heart of downtown SLC, The Market Street Grill is within easy walking distance of all major hotels and entertainment venues.

Average at best.

Service can only be considered as slowwwwwww. Chowder probably canned. Salmon prepared well, appropiately seasoned but, served cool. In total, over priced for average fare.

Try the coconut shrimp
By utahn1 on 03/15/2007
I LOVE the coconut shrimp appetizer, and the clam chowder is the same at all the Gastronomy restaurants so is highly recommended. I've never had a bad meal here, but the service is sometimes a bit slow.

Food good - Parking a nightmar
By poh12 on 02/20/2007
Went to Market Street in SLC on Saturday 2/17. Arrived at 5:35 p.m. and waited 65 minutes to be seated. We parked in the private lot across the street. The sign noted parking was $3 but in trying to pay the machine required $4. We arrived back to our car at 7:35 p.m. to find a $25 parking violation placed on our windshield for being longer than two hours. After spending over $70 for two meals and a $29 parking fee, I don't think I'll be returning to Market Street in the future. poh12@aol.com
