Western Skies Steak House   

This is an old restaurant that is not flashy in any way but there are some interesting items on the menu. Most people come for steak, and they are as good as most places in town. There is an extensive Mexican menu, and I come here for one thing: A cafe ribeye steak covered in "spanish" sauce. It comes with an enchilada, rice and beans, and it is above average. Salads and sides are a little disappointing, but it is very reasonably priced. You see a lot of working class families young and old eating here and it is good value.

Where else can you get a 16+ oz ribeye cooked to order for less than $18 that could feed two or one really hungry person. Their hamburgers are the best in town also.

We drive 70 miles to eat at Western Skies. We order steak for two and it feeds 5 of us. The steaks are very tender and have great flavor!!!!

Best steak in Texas! My friends I have driven 2 hours out of our way on cross country trips just to eat at Western Skies. Huge portions and very flavorful.
