Zentner's Daughter Steak House   

If anyone tells you that the steaks here are as good as can be found in New York or Chicago dont buy any real estate from them. There are plenty of steak houses in Dallas that serve a far superior steak to Zentner's daughter. True, Zentner's is very reasonably priced, but the meat is not prime, not very tender, and I find the seasonings that they use to be disagreeable. The sides are nothing special. The salads are very institutional (think bottled dressings). The staff is friendly, and I guess the German recipes are authentic, but again, I find the flavor ruined by some of the seasonings. I wont name the place, but far superior food can be found at another steak joint in this town. I travel here every two months on business. Gave Zentner's several chances, but dont go here anymore.

The first place we visited when we arrive in San Angelo. It's been 25 Years since we last had one of those Great Tasting Steaks.....('TENDERS) Just as good as the last time

Having eaten at steak houses through -out Texas, New York City and points between, I find Zentner's Daughter's steak tenders, along with all meat served, to be the tenderest, most flavorful I've ever eaten. The service is excellent and the ambiance is classy and impeccably tasteful. The owner's personal attention to detail, including buying and cutting the meat herself, has won Zentner's Dughter numerous "best in San Angelo" awards.
