As its moniker suggests, at this joint you can expect western dress and entertainment -- over 25,000 square feet of it. While the building is cavernous, it manages to retain a homey, friendly atmosphere that's made Midnight Rodeo popular with adults of every age. The place is pretty laid-back during the early evening, when you'll usually find older customers who are taking part in the popular line-dancing classes. As the evening wears on, however, the younger set takes over, and the energy level of the place gets a definite boost. The weekend scene includes live music performed by some of the hottest regional artists, and Midnight Rodeo even hosts the occasional bikini contest. Because its hours vary throughout the week, it's wise to call the Rodeo before you get all dressed up in your finest western wear.
