The proximity of Joey's to several colleges rejuvenates its demographics year after year, though quite a few locals have become perennial fixtures. Stop in for a drink, catch a game on the TV and snack on some nachos or pizza -- or you can take a turn at one of the several pool tables in back. If you're looking for a bit of fresh air and the weather allows, you can ask for a seat on the open-air deck upstairs. Because Joey's is just a short walk from several theaters and playhouses, it makes a nice post-show watering hole. No need to rush, though -- closing time doesn't come until the wee hours at this joint.
