One of the first of its kind, Kiddie Park was built post-WWII at a time when amusement parks were flourishing, and the antique rides that include a Merry-Go Round, a mini Roller Coaster and a vintage carousel with 36 hand-carved 'jumping' horses, have delighted children since 1925. Gently soaring helicopters, flying saucers and boats are other amusements dazzle pint-sized tots; a children's arcade and a snack bar offering treats like old-fashioned spun cotton candy, ice cream, hot dogs, snow cones and pop corn charm kids and adults alike. Most folks don't mind that the park isn't what it used to be in terms of glitz and frill -- they come out of loyalty and a deep-rooted sense of nostolgia. -- A. Onofre

Still Here!
Wow! I grew up here in San Antonio and loved going to the kiddie park. I moved away, got married and now have two children of my own. I am thrilled to see that this place is still here and cannot wait to take my kiddos!

Every town needs one of these. Shaded, quaint, kids had a blast, even the 12 year old. Loved it!
