Luna remedies that by booking top-rate jazz players from around the city like Small World, The Jazz Protagonists and Zarabande on a regular basis. Dubbed a ''Fine Music Club'' by its founder, Border Palace member Marcos Trevino, serious thought was put into creating the right vibes that merge the feel of a contemporary big city jazz bar and its innovative predecessors. The music is the central focus, with a well-lit stage draped by velvet curtains and dimmer lighting for guest seating areas. The stylish establishment is non-smoking, but if you must occupy the mouth while you muse, a small appetizer menu offers up Mediterranean pitas, shrimp toast, tortilla wedges and the like.
