Sam's Burger Joint   

The two buildings that make up Sam's Burger Joint house a performance space with weekly entertainment and a greasy spoon that serves standard burger-joint fare. Fries, tater tots, sandwiches, salads and a variety of Tex-Mex- inspired appetizers, such as stuffed jalapenos, flautas and wings o' caliente are secondary to the mammoth-sized burgers for which this place is known. For a good deal, come on a Tuesday with a friend (or an enormous appetite) when the burgers are two-for-one. After that, mosey beyond the outdoor patio to the tin and glass building where poets and musicians take the stage most evenings. Hip/hop, rap and the spoken word of poetry have a melody all their own. Otherwise, you'll swing to a different beat with rockabilly or a blues jam most every night 'cept Sunday. It's no surprise that Sam's Burger Joint has grown in popularity; this place draws an eclectic crowd because of its flexibility in entertainment... making it an ideal date spot.
