Boudro's On the Riverwalk   

Went to Boudro's for a couple of drinks on a Sunday night and were blown away!! We ordered the guacamole for two (which they make table-side) and it was heavenly! So good in fact that we ordered a second batch to be made after we scarfed down the first one!! Prickly pear margarita is a MUST HAVE and goes perfectly with the chips and guacamole. nice location for quiet conversation and people watching.

First time in SA and this was our favorite of the restaurants. All the reviews (Frommers, Southern Living, this site, etc.) talk about the fresh guacamole salad. Well, they should, because it is incredible. The crab tostada was great for lunch, and the prickly pear margaritas were certainly a lunchtime treat. Highly recommend. If back in SA, it will first on our list.

This was without a doubt our best dining experience that we had for our visit to San Antonio. From the hostess to the dessert everything was great. Duck and sausage gumbo was great. Shrimp and smoked bacon club sand. was savory. The bread pudding was delicous. Service was good. Next time we are in San Antonio we are sure to visit again.
