Something odd here. We had TERRIBLE service. It took us 15 minutes to get waited on and they weren't that busy. There were waiters everywhere for a short while, then they all disappeared. Saw several of them chatting around the corner. Had to talk to the mgr on duty to get served. Even then they took their time. I don't know how the food is as we had one drink only and left----never to return. Very snobby waiters.

I was in SA with a colleague from my school for the NCTM meeting, April 9--13, 2003. Had read good reviews previously, so we stopped by on April 9 to make reservations for Friday night, April 11 for 2 people. As chance would have it, I met up with one of my Penn State roommates and her colleagues on Friday and we decided to have lunch at Boudro's. It was fabulous! The guacamole made at the table was wonderful, as were the entrees. Since we all loved it, the other people wanted to eat there for dinner also; however it was fully booked. We spoke to Andreas, the manager, who said that he would do what he could do if we all came back. We did, and he made room for us, so we had another outstanding dinner. We did have to eat inside, which is a tad noisy, but the quality of the food and the service made it worthwhile. The wood-grilled fish was fabulous, as was the coconut chicken. Crabcakes are succulent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Saturday was my last day in SA as well as my colleague's, and where did we want to eat? Boudro's. We arrived without a reservation on a very warm, busy night and we were able to get an outside table in less than 45 minutes. We asked Andreas if he would have pictures taken with us, and he graciously agreed, as did Daisy and Tim. Everyone was so very friendly, and being from New York, it was very refreshing. Prices are reasonable, and the food is superb. The best place on the Riverwalk.

Having eaten here many times before, it was time to go again...love this place!! Start with a prickly pear margarita, then move on to the home-made guacamole made right at your table! Enjoyed the blackened prime rib, seafood platter and chile-seared Gulf shrimp dishes with my party. Too full for dessert, but would recommend anyway. Great service and clean restrooms...would highly recommend!!

Boudro's was even better than we were hoping for. We had excellent service, a great table, and the food was out of this world. We ate there for lunch on Saturday, and we thought the prices were very reasonable. The prickly pear margarita was very unique and tasty--not your average margarita. I highly recommend the black & white soup as an appetizer. It has just the right amount of spice and the portion is perfect, nit too much. The chicken enchiladas were wonderful, and I liked the blue corn tortillas. They are served with black beans and pecan wild rice. Very eclectic and unique, all excellent. Also, the homemade rolls are fabulous. All in all, it was dining perfection and we can't wait to go back. I want to have the same exact meal again because it was heaven.
