La Hacienda De Los Barrios   

I drove over 200 miles to sample the "puffy tacos" after seeing them on "Throwdown". What a letdown. Don't waste your gas and time to eat here. Bobby, be more careful where you have your shows. I called the resturant and all I got was the "We're sorries".Juan wasn't all that friendly either.

I was looking forward to enjoying good Tex-Mex after seeing on TV Bobby Flay's throw-down on th puffy tacos. What a dissappointment! Oh, boy! The service was just as bad.

I will say this is a beautiful restaurant unfortunately, my compliments stop there. Before moving to Austin, we went to Los Barrios quite often. La Hacienda does not know how to make a mexican martini. I had nachos a la butler. Pretty hard to mess up nachos right? The guacamole was horrible. So bad, it gave me horrible indigestion. I was miserable the remainder of the evening and all I had were nachos!!!! This was sooooo not worth my trip from Austin.

The location is beautiful but it ends there. We have eaten there 6 times and our food has alway been substandard. Service is lacking also. Even though it is more convient we have returned to Los Barrios and love it!
