This "Texas Top 10" steak house will catch your eye long before it catches your palate. The steak house has been reeling crowds in for more than 30 years with its bordello house decor. Antique pictures, red chandeliers, ceiling mirrors and the famous girl who sways on the velvet swing fulfill its Gay '90s Barbary Coast atmosphere. When your attention finally does turn to your plate you'll be equally attentive. The culinary experience begins with the signature giant block of Swiss cheese and hot, freshly baked loaves of true San Francisco sourdough and rye breads. The award-winning cuisine includes the finest aged steaks and prime rib along with succulent chicken, lamb and seafood, including fresh fish flown in daily. To-die-for desserts feature cherries jubilee, bananas Foster and the famous San Francisco cheesecake package. -- A. Onofre

honestly. i think that the old san fran did all they could do to accomidate you to the finest experience that you will ever have. being the swing girl, hostess, flambe' lady, and the bartender at one point i do know that we put ourself on the line to do the best that we could do. towards the end of the resturant business we were laying off more and more ppl by day to where i had to wait tables and do anything i could to have happy customers.. even though you dont know what goes on behind the doors i could truthfully say that we did whatever it could be to get our guests the best service. and if you didnt have good service it was for a reason that was out of our hands. if and when it ever does reopen i will go back and help them out.. it is a very good family environment not only for the guests to come and enjoy but as well as for the employees itsself.. we considered it our house and that is why you were our guests. and no sir. we get no tips nor tip share because i was the only lady on the swing. we have a tip jar at the front of the resturant for the pianist and for me. they had complimentary parking and i too questioned the menu at one point because if it weren't to close i would of been one of the floor managers. i looked at the old menu, the menus from the other 3 resturants and compared them to ours. the prices varied about 4 dollars at the most, and we included 2 sides and a salad. the old menus did not. so as for everyone that thought we had unfair prices its your own opinion but i do know that you are paying for fine dining, the environment, and then your meal.
