Great food, tasty margaritas, live music and a trendy atmosphere lure locals and tourists to this favorite eatery nestled on the edge of the Historic King William District. Rosario's flaunts purple ceilings, ceiling fans and a neon bar. The pink and turquoise interior flatters the equally colorful food. Start out with the freshly prepared salsa with tostadas, or with an order of ceviche or nachos. For dinner some of your best bets are the pollo diablo or the pipian plate. The pollo diablo is a charbroiled chicken breast covered with spicy ranchero sauce and white cheese. The pipian is a grilled chicken breast smothered with a mole-like sauce of ground nuts, seeds and spices. Other favorites are the calabacito con puerco, puffy tacos, steak ranchero, flautas or carne de puerco en chile cascabel. For dessert have the delicious capirotada with caramel. Sax improv reigns on Friday night. Latin jazz smooths out Saturday after dark.

I have lived in SA all of my life and I just visited this gem during Fiesta. I had the puffy beef tacos and to my amazement they did not break and dump all of the working on my plate. I have never experienced this in my entire life. Since then I have gone back numerous times and I have also taken out of town guest there who raved about the food as well. My friends mother had the pozole and was very satisfied with the flavors and texture. I am counting the days till I visit again.

If you are looking for a true Tex mex experience you have it with Rosario's ! The salsa is wonderful. I would recommend the margaritas they are wonderful. Then the guacamole to treat your taste buds. I had the tostada's, my mom had the mole enchiladas both are great. I have had the fish tacos on amore than a few visits. Great place to bring out of town guests.
