Less than a mile from the track, with some of the best restaurants in Del Mar within walking distance, the Clarion Del Mar Inn is your best bet for comfort and quiet. Some ocean views and studios, its a nice place for an overnight stay or a month long pied a terre. Kitchenettes provide a place to stash leftovers from places like En Fuego and Bullys spend your track winnings at Stratford Square just up the road at 15th Street. A nice grown up place, particulary for the more mature track crowd families with young children might find it a little restrained for their needs. One of the most courteous staffs in town -- L.S.
